Tanishaa Mukherjee talks about her new outing on the small screen, Gangs of Hasseepur

Tanishaa Mukhejee, who caught everyone's attention with her stint in Bigg Boss 7, seems to be enjoying her small screen journey as the actress is once again geared to make a comeback on TV but this time as a judge on a comedy show, Gangs of Hasseepur.

"Everything happened very quickly. When I was offered the show, I quite liked the idea of judging a comedy show. There are a lot of comedy shows going on currently and I watch some of them they are quite funny. But when I heard the concept of Gangs of Hasseepur that has a social relevance I thought it is going to be a intelligent discourse at some point. It sounded as a different kind of comedy show and that's the reason I decided to do it," said the actress.

Tanishaa, who is trying her hand at the genre of comedy for the first time, says she has a very strong funny bone and she knows to laugh at herself, "I love to laugh. You all must have already seen that on the reality show that I did last. Wherever I could, I laughed out loudly. I was always seen happy and laughing and having fun on the show. I am a happy person. My mother taught me at a very young age the art on taking jokes sportingly and laughing on myself. I have one sister who loves to crack a joke on me and four other elder cousins sisters and as I was the youngest I got teased the most, taken for a ride so I had to learn to laugh on myself. And my mother always taught me if you can't laugh at yourself you can't be happy," said Tanishaa.

When asked, how has she changed as a person after Bigg Boss, she says, "I think I've changed a little bit and therefore life has changed for me. I think the people are the same, but I've become more approachable and open. I've got a lot of positive feedback from a lot of people out there. Now, people don't see me as a celebrity, they meet me as a friend and I like that. TV has changed a lot for me and because of it I am out there. I've realised that the more you do the more people will see you. Before Bigg Boss happened to me people had some other impression about me as they never knew the real Tanishaa. But now they know me as I am taking risks and putting myself out there. So that's what I say believe in yourself, it takes time. It's my journey as I was not that open, I couldn't reach out to people," said the actress with a beaming smile.

Tanishaa feels that after doing a reality show like Bigg Boss,Gangs Of Hasseepur will come to her as medicine, "I think after dealing with so much pressure and negativity when you come out we need to relax and I strongly believe that laughter is the cure for everything. So I just want to laugh everything away. Laughter is the best medicine and it is very important in everybody's life. It just makes you feel lighter, beautiful and makes you a better person. I think we should all laugh at our woes and sorrows."

Charlie Chaplin is Tanishaa's idol when it comes to comedy genre, she says, "I think Charlie Chaplin is amazing. He's my idol. All his movies still makes us laugh. According to me comedy is very difficult thing to do, I feel it's the most hardest genre. But hat's off to people like Raju Srivastav, Suresh Menon that they do it so effortlessly. I think they are adlib. Hopefully, I will get to learn from them and then I can also crack a few punches on the show."
