Six-time
WWE World Champion
Batista has made a huge name for himself as a wrestling superstar and successfully transitioned to becoming a top Hollywood actor. Despite his accomplishments, a former WWE superstar did not shy from revealing something embarrassing about The Animal from his early days.
In a recent edition of the Cafe de Rene podcast, Rene Dupri revealed that he only met Batista during his time in WWE's former developmental territory, OVW. However, the only thing he could recall from that meeting was the bad breath from his mouth. He said,
“When I first met Batista, well, the only time I met him. It was in Memphis they were doing the drug testing. They brought the guys from other parts so we could all get drug tested together. I shook his hand and met him, but I almost passed out from his breath. He had the worst breath. I mean, it almost killed me.”Batista Had The WORST Breath! 🤮 🤮
Former WWE star Batista retired from in-ring competition in 2019
Batista first ventured into Hollywood after ending his full-time WWE run in 2010. He had a bit of a rocky start, but managed to make his path in the world of films and television. The Animal came back to WWE in 2014 for a brief run that lasted for a few months before making his return to Hollywood. Since then, he has been a part of some highly successful movies like The Guardians of the Galaxy and Spectre.
However, he still had the desire to compete in one more match to end his in-ring career. For years, Batista said that he wanted to wrestle his final match against the man he considered his mentor, Triple H.
At the start of 2019, he returned to WWE to ignite a feud with The Cerebral Assassin that culminated in a blockbuster match at WrestleMania 35. Batista, who had always defeated Triple H in a singles match, was finally handed defeat by The Game on the Grandest Stage of Them All. A day later, he announced his retirement from professional wrestling.
Furthermore, he was also announced as an inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2020, which did not take place due to the pandemic. His busy Hollywood schedule has been a prime reason for the delay so far; however, it is a guarantee that he will find a place in the Hall of Fame sooner rather than later.
