Annah Tagovailoa has stayed mostly out of public view since marrying Miami Dolphins quarterback
Tua Tagovailoa in July 2022. That changed briefly this week, when she shared a Christmas post tied to the Tua Foundation, drawing attention as her husband faces uncertainty following his benching.
The timing is not accidental. The Dolphins benched Tagovailoa on Dec. 17 after their playoff hopes ended, pushing his future into the spotlight. Annah’s post did not address football, but it reminded fans of the family side Tagovailoa has tried to protect since entering the league.
Annah Gore, who took Tua’s last name after marriage, has remained selective about what she shares publicly. Her appearances tend to align with milestones, not headlines.
Annah Tagovailoa has kept her relationship with Tua out of public view
Tua Tagovailoa and Annah married on July 17, 2022, in a private ceremony that went unnoticed until weeks later. The news surfaced on Aug. 2, when radio host Andy Slater posted on X: “SLATER SCOOP: Tua Tagovailoa has picked up another ring. Congratulations to the Miami Dolphins’ QB who got married two weeks ago, a clergy source tells me.”
Tagovailoa responded the following day at a press conference and made his frustration clear.
“I mean, for me, I love to keep my life as private as possible and that’s what we tried to do with me, my wife, and my daily,” he said. “But obviously in this world that’s not how it is. It’s almost kind of disrespectful by doing that but it is what it is. Can’t do anything about it. I have a wife.”
The couple did not post publicly about each other until July 2023, marking their first anniversary. Annah wrote, “Happy first anniversary to my best friend and husband! I love you.” Tagovailoa followed with his own message, saying, “Never one to put my private life out there. But this one deserved a post. Happy 1 Year Anniversary to my beautiful wife. I love you.”
They share two children, a son and a daughter. The couple rarely shows them publicly.
Annah Tagovailoa’s Christmas post arrives during a tense moment for the Dolphins
On Dec. 26, Annah shared an Instagram post highlighting the Tua Foundation’s holiday partnership with Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. “My husband and I love to give back and be a part of our community in any way that we can,” she wrote. “This year, the Tua Foundation has partnered with Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. They have provided us with four of their patients that will be spending this Christmas in the hospital.”
She added, “This Christmas Day, we’re reflecting with full hearts,🤍” and “… Our hope was simply to bring a little joy, comfort, and positivity to their day.”
The post landed days after head coach Mike McDaniel benched Tagovailoa following a 28–15 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Tagovailoa addressed the decision plainly. “Disappointed, I mean, I’m not happy about it, but it’s something out of my control,” he said.
The quarterback’s struggles this season are well documented, including turnover issues and durability concerns. His four-year, $212.4 Million extension signed in July 2024 now looms larger as Miami evaluates its direction.
Annah’s message did not attempt to shift the narrative. It stayed focused on family and community, consistent with how the couple has handled attention since 2022. As speculation around Tagovailoa’s future grows, Annah Tagovailoa remains visible only on her terms.
