Stephen Curry is homebound. Following the Golden State Warriors’ Christmas Day win over the Dallas Mavericks, the veteran guard spoke less about putting numbers on scoreboard and more about his family. With his wife
Ayesha Curry and their children watching from the stands, Steph pointed towards them while sharing that he is ready to go home.
Curry helped seal the 126-116 victory with a timely three-pointer late in the fourth quarter, finishing with 23 points in Golden State’s holiday showdown. However, his postgame message could be a at nearing retirement.
Stephen Curry acknowledges wife Ayesha Curry’s efforts with family
After the game, Stephen Curry reflected on the balance he and Ayesha continue to navigate as their family grows and evolves.
"I mean, it's always a blessing to play, but my kids are getting older, me and my wife kinda balance the family at work. So, I'm ready to go home," Curry said after the game.
The comment came with Ayesha and the couple’s children present courtside, sharing in the holiday atmosphere. Between NBA seasons, business ventures, and raising four kids, Curry has often spoken about the importance of staying grounded.
Curry’s performance helped the Warriors control the game after an early surge from Dallas rookie Cooper Flagg, who finished with 27 points.
Golden State leaned on balanced scoring, with Jimmy Butler posting 14 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists. Al Horford returned from injury and added four first-quarter three-pointers that helped set the tone.

Stephen and Ayesha Curry’s story began long before championship banners and sold-out arenas. The two met as teenagers in North Carolina and married in 2011. Their family has grown steadily since, with daughters Riley and Ryan, followed by sons Canon and Caius.
Now in his 17th NBA season, the 37-year-old has acknowledged that time moves quickly. Earlier this year, he addressed the subject openly during an interview with ESPN’s Malika Andrews.
"I know it's closer than it was even yesterday. Acknowledging it is fun, because the more I talk about it, the more I appreciate what all goes into preparing yourself. All that stuff is the privilege that you earned, but I'm trying not to put any time stamps or anything, other than the sense of urgency in the now."
Of course, Curry is still in his elite form, but the homebound NBA legend deserves his rest, although it will be a heartbreak for many fans. But eventually, we all must accept his departure from the league.
