Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's rumored Rhode Island wedding is canceled— here's what we know now

The Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce wedding rumour mill has been spinning for months, and for a long time, Rhode Island was the frontrunner. Swift owns a $17.5 million mansion in Westerly, the Ocean House resort is right there, and Page Six had even reported a June 13 date at the venue. It all made sense on paper: a private seaside town, a venue with history, and a superstar who already calls the place home. Except now, almost everyone connected to Rhode Island is saying the same thing: don't count on it. The story has changed, and it has changed fast.

The most telling sign came straight from local law enforcement. Westerly Police Chief Paul Gingerella told TMZ that neither the cops nor the town have been involved with or made aware of any wedding involving Taylor and Travis for the dates in question.

That's significant. When Olivia Culpo got married at Ocean House a couple of years ago, police were looped in for security coordination. The fact that nobody has called them this time around says a lot.



Then Rhode Island Senator Sheldon Whitehouse weighed in, also telling TMZ he doesn't think it's happening in his state. The final nail: there is a wedding booked at Ocean House on June 13, but the planner for that bride went out of her way to comment on Instagram, clarifying that Taylor Swift is not the bride. Three separate sources, three separate nos.

So where is it actually happening?

All roads are now pointing to New York City. Both Page Six and Entertainment Tonight are reporting the same thing independently- July 3 in NYC. That date would be quintessentially Taylor Swift, a Fourth of July wedding eve that plays perfectly into her love of holiday gatherings and her well-documented July 4th party tradition.


Adding fuel to the fire, singer Benson Boone has apparently confirmed he will be attending the wedding, wherever it ends up being, which means someone in that inner circle is talking. Rhode Island had a good run as the frontrunner, but the evidence is piling up fast that when Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift finally tie the knot, it won't be in the Ocean State.
