MUMBAI, June 13: A day after his appointment, former India captain Chandu Borde received a letter from the Board detailing his duties.
"I have been appointed as the manager. I shall convene the meetings on tour," Borde informed TOI after receiving the letter.
Borde would be in overall charge of the team, with the day to day task being carried out by bowling coach Venkatesh Prasad and fielding coach Robin Singh.
The septagenuerian will be joining the team only on June 19 in Mumbai and then decide on the next course of action. It is still unclear if Borde would be part of strategy sessions of the team. "That we will decide when we get together and after we discuss amongst ourselves."
