Stephen Curry and Ayesha Curry expand their charitable efforts with life changing support for Bay Area families

Stephen Curry, the Golden State Warriors’ star player, has always been committed and passionate about giving back to the society which raised him, alongside his wife, Ayesha Curry.While Stephen Curry and Ayesha Curry already help millions with their charity, the four time NBA champion has made a new noble move.A few hours ago, as per Stephen Curry’s alma mater Davidson College’s recent press release, the NBA champion is now partnering to launch the Davidson College Curry Scholars Program.The Davidson College Curry Scholars Program focuses on providing full scholarship to high achieving students coming from underprividleged families from Bay Area.The partnership is stated to be a “natural extension” of Stephen Curry and Ayesha Curry’s foundation, Eat. Learn. Play. which focuses on providing quality education and nutritious meals to children coming from underprivileged backgrounds in Oakland.The Davidson College Curry Scholars Program aims for five to ten students each year who will be given a full scholarship. The first batch of the program is scheduled for the fall of next year.In a video clip attached to the Davidson College’s recent press release, the four time NBA champion stated what motivated him to partner with his alma mater.Stephen Curry said, “Ayesha and I started our foundation in Oakland 7 years ago with the vision of making sure every kid has access to the opportunity and support they deserve in order to reach their full potential. Davidson is really pumped up to be working with high school students in the Bay Area and our friends at College Track to help talented and dedicated students from the Bay Area go to Davidso…”The Golden State Warriors’ star player added, “Davidson College is part of who I am, not just as an athlete, but as a family member, a leader, and as someone who cares deeply about this community…”
