NEW DELHI: Asian Games gold medallist Joseph Abraham will have his last chance to qualify for next month's Olympics when he takes the field in men's 400m hurdles in the Asian All Star Athletics Meet starting on Saturday in Almaty in Kazakhstan.
National record holder Abraham, who won gold in 400m hurdles in Guangzhou Asian Games in 2010, is yet to qualify for the London Games.
The qualification deadline for London Olympics in individual events in July 8.
India will be represented in the meet by 10 athletes, including national record holder 800m runner Tintu Luka and high jumper Sahana Kumari who have already qualified for London Olympics.
The other athletes participating in the two-day meet are Arpinder Singh (Triple Jump),
Sandeep Singh (1500m), Jagroop Singh (Shot Put), Kuhnu Muhammed (400m), Sowjanya (400m), MA Prajusha (Triple Jump) and Poovamma (400m).
Sprint legend PT Usha will accompany the athletes as coach while WI Dawaram will be the manager.
