Conor Benn has set his sights on a blockbuster fight with WBC welterweight champion Ryan Garcia after announcing a major career move. The British boxer has left Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing and signed with Zuffa Boxing, the promotion backed by the UFC president Dana White. The switch could place Benn in bigger fights in the United States, where most of the major belts in his division are currently being held.Benn made it clear his immediate aim is a world title before the end of the year. He also wants to give fans high-profile contests. Notably, Rtan Garcia recently won the WBC welterweight title belt with a dominant victory over Mario Barrios. Conor Benn now considers himself a strong challenger for the WBC title. At the same time, he has not ruled out another clash with rival Chris Eubank Jr, even if it means moving up in weight.

Speaking to Sky Sports in an exclusive chat, Conor Benn explained that his career goals remain unchanged despite the new promoter Zuffa Boxing. He wants championship success and the biggest possible fights. He said he would follow what fans want and expect from him. He believes the United States is where the important titles are located.
After watching Ryan Garcia defeat Mario Barrios, Benn admitted he was not fully impressed with the performance. However, he praised Garcia’s conditioning and ability to regain focus to win a world title of the WBC welterweight. Benn insisted he would be a much tougher opponent for Garcia than Barrios. He believes his speed, power and aggressive style would create serious problems for the champion, and he expects an entertaining contest.The Briton is prepared to stay active while waiting for Garcia. If the fight is delayed until later in the year, Benn wants additional bouts. He mentioned possible opponents including Rolando Romero, Shakur Stevenson and Devin Haney.He also left the door open for a third fight with Chris Eubank Jr. Benn previously fought Eubank twice, losing the first contest but winning the rematch decisively. He said he would even move to super-middleweight so his rival has no excuses. Despite their rivalry, Benn expressed respect for Eubank while maintaining that his primary goal remains winning a world championship.
