Dan Ticktum reviews Bentley Flying Spur Mulliner, reveals his former love for “loud, obnoxious” cars
Cupra Kiro driver Dan Ticktum has developed quite a reputation for test-driving luxury and classic vintage cars. His latest review features the Bentley Flying Spur Mulliner, the flagship model in the Flying Spur range. It sits above the standard Flying Spur, which starts at around £200,000, followed by the Azure at approximately £220,000, the Flying Spur Speed at over £226,000, and finally the range-topping Mulliner.
Ticktum also praised the car's exhaust note, saying it sounds great while driving, although it is noticeably quieter than many other performance cars.
Ticktum shared a teaser of the review on Instagram, saying:"Chaps and chapesses, welcome to a Dark Cashmere Bentley Flying Spur Mulliner Edition. Key facts: 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 mated to a hybrid system, total output 771 horsepower, so a lot, 1,000 newton-metres of torque, 0–60 in about 3.3 seconds. I've lived with this car for just over a week. There's not much wrong with it, to be honest, but if you want to hear my full in-depth review, you must head over to the YouTube channel."
Reacting to the video, one fan commented: "You should feature in the new Top Gear." Another wrote: "I'll look out for you again. Spotted you in the limo - it's like spot what Dan's driving today." A third added: "Perfect colour. Elegant and vintage, it suits you well."
Following a disappointing outing in Monaco, Ticktum will return to Formula E action at the Sanya E-Prix in China on June 20.
In Monaco, he crossed the line third in Round 9 but was later handed a race penalty following contact with Antonio Felix da Costa. As a result, teammate Pepe Marti was promoted to third place, securing the Spaniard's maiden Formula E podium.
