Yogeshwar Dutt advanced to the bronze medal match after he beat Masoud Esmaeilpoorjouybari of Iran 3-1 in the second repechage round of the men's 60kg freestyle event on Saturday.
Dutt will meet Jong Myong Ri of North Korea in the bronze medal match.
Indian grappler defeated Franklin Gomez Matos of Puerto Rico 3-0 in the first repechage round.
Earlier in the day, Dutt's hopes of clinching a medal remained alive after his vanquisher Besik Kudukhov of Russia moved into the finals, enabling the Indian grappler to stake a claim at the elusive bronze in the repechage round.
