KOLKATA: Both Indian archers and the Archery Association of India (AAI) general secretary Paresh Nath Mukherjee on Saturday dismissed reports that a rift with head coach Limba Ram was responsible for the team's poor show in London.
According an unconfirmed report, national coach Limba Ram was allegedly insulted by top archers Deepika Kumari and Jayanta Talukdar at a pre-Olympic camp.

It also said that two archers and the coach were not on talking terms. Both archers, however, have dismissed this allegation. "It's all false. Everything was smooth in the camp," Talukdar has been quoted as saying.
Rahul Banerjee, another member of the men's team, also echoed Talukdar's sentiments. "It's a totally baseless allegation," he told TOI. "It's true that we wanted a foreign coach, preferably from Korea, for the Games, but we all respect Limba sir. He is an institution in Indian archery. How can we disrespect him?"
