Heena Sidhu

Commonwealth Games medallist Heena Sidhu is one of the luckiest athlete to book her spot in Indian contingent for the London Olympics. Her participation was approved by International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) in April this year after National Rifle Association of India's (NRAI) requested for exchange of quota.

NRAI decided to exchange a spot in the 50m Rifle 3 Position event, won by Imran Hasan Khan with the women's Air Pistol event since India have already reserved the maximum two slots in the category.

As per ISSF rule, a country is allowed to exchange one quota won by its shooters with another, subject to its availability.

The young shooter has a World Cup silver, Commonwealth Games gold and silver and an Asian Games silver to her credit.
