Dubai Airport update: All flights remain suspended as authorities continue to monitor the security situation; what travellers should know
As per latest updates, Dubai Airports have confirmed that flight operations at Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International Airport will remain suspended until further notice. The advisory was issued through official Dubai Airports communication channels, including its verified X (formerly Twitter) account. The advisory also urged passengers not to travel to the airport until further notice.
Meanwhile, on March 1, Dubai Airports also confirmed minor damage in an incident.
On X, Dubai Media Office wrote,
“Dubai Airports confirms that a concourse at Dubai International (DXB) sustained minor damage in an incident, which was quickly contained. Emergency response teams were immediately deployed and are managing the situation in coordination with the relevant authorities. Four staff sustained injuries and received prompt medical attention. Due to contingency plans already in place, most of the terminals were previously cleared of passengers. Further updates will be provided as they become available.”

Airlines Respond
Major carriers operating out of Dubai, including Emirates and flydubai, have also released a similar airport advisory through their own official channels. Airlines have temporarily suspended operations. Many other prominent international airlines have also cancelled or rerouted flights that normally transit UAE airspace. This whole war has created major air travel disruptions.
Meanwhile, Emirates Support has also issued an advisory on X:
“Due to multiple regional airspace closures, Emirates has temporarily suspended all operations to and from Dubai, up until 1500hrs UAE time on Tuesday, 3 March. The situation remains dynamic and is assessed continuously. We urge all customers to review the latest operational updates on http://emirates.com and check their email for any notifications about changes or cancellations to their flights before travelling to the airport.”
