African safari: 6 incredible animals to look out for in Masai Mara National Park, Kenya

When we talk of national parks, the Masai Mara National Park, Kenya, comes to mind first. It is among the most iconic wildlife destinations in the world. The park, spread around 1,510 square kilometers, is noted for its rich biodiversity and dramatic natural events, including the annual Great Migration.
Whether you're a seasoned safari-goer or a first-time visitor, the Masai Mara offers a chance to encounter some of Africa’s most extraordinary animals in their natural habitat. Here are six incredible animals to watch for during your adventure. (Canva)

African Lion

The African Lion is one of the most sought-after animals to spot in the Masai Mara. The park has one of the highest densities of the King of the Jungle in the world. These glorious predators often roam smartly and proudly. The best time to spot these majestic animals are early morning safaris and late afternoons. You can also spot these hunting for zebras and other animals. (Canva)

African Leopard

African Leopards are elusive and alone. These creatures are masters of camouflage and live in solitary. They are often seen resting in trees and blend effortlessly with the foliage. African Elephant

The largest land mammal on the planet, the African elephant, can be found in huge numbers in Masai Mara. Looking at one up close is an awe-inspiring experience. Cheetah

The fastest land animals, the cheetah is another exciting predator to look out for in the Masai Mara. These creatures prefer open places where they can display the power of speed.
