While cats are know for their independent nature, these adorable looking pets can also be one of the most affectionate ones for their owners. From the beautiful-looking Ragdolls to the highly energetic Savannahs, here we list down some of the largest domesticated cat breeds in the world and how much they cost in India. Maine Coon

One of the largest pet cat breeds in the world, they can weigh up to 18 pounds (roughly 8 kgs) while they can be 19 to 32 inches long (up to 3 feet long). They are known for their long and fluffy fur and their friendly and playful nature which makes them a great pet cat option for people. In India, the price of Maine Coon kittens ranges between INR 30,000 to 50,000.

Savannah

The Savannahs are a cross between the domestic cats and the wild serval, which gives them a unique appearance. They can weigh up to 25 pounds (i.e. 11 kgs). They are generally long and tall, and their height can go up to 19 inches. The Savannahs are also highly energetic cat breeds, and exotic to keep. Their price in India ranges between a whopping ₹9,97,882 to ₹16,63,138!

Ragdoll

These beautiful-looking pet cat breeds are known for their gentle nature. While they can weigh up to 20 pounds (9 kgs), they are very calm in temperament. It is their striking blue eyes and long, soft coats that make them stand apart from other domestic cats. In India, ragdolls cost around INR 30,00 – 35,000. Their length ranges between 17–21 inches, and they can go up to 40 inches long.

British Shorthair

British Shorthair is well-suited for colder climates. They are known for their calm and friendly nature. They have distinct round faces and thick coats, and they weigh around 18 pounds (8 kgs). Their length is generally around 22-25 inches.

Norwegian Forest Cat

Another domestic cat breed which is well suited for cold places is the Norwegian Forest Cat. They are very curious and independent in nature. They weigh about 16 pounds (7.2 kgs) and are known for their distinct thick coats and muscular body. In India, their price ranges between ₹40,000 to ₹70,000. They are generally 12–18 inches long, but their length can go up to 36 inches.
