Tips on travelling with your baby this holiday season:

Travelling with a baby can be a daunting task, especially during the holiday season when airports and trains are crowded and flights are often delayed. However, with a little planning and preparation, you can make the experience enjoyable for both you and your little one. Here are some tips to keep in mind when travelling with your baby this holiday season:

2/6

Pack light

Dr Sanjay Wazir, Neonatologist and Pediatrician, Motherhood Hospitals, Gurgaon says, "Travelling with a baby means you'll need to bring along a lot of gear, but try to pack as light as possible. Consider packing multi-purpose items like a stroller that can also be used as a car seat, and a diaper bag that can double as a carry-on."

3/6

Consider your mode of transportation

If you're flying, consider booking a seat with extra legroom for your stroller and car seat. If you're driving, make sure to bring along a car seat and a few toys and snacks to keep your little one entertained on the road. Make sure to book your flights and accommodations in advance, and try to choose flights that have shorter layovers. It's also a good idea to research the amenities available at your destination, such as baby gear rentals and diaper changing stations.

4/6

Pack essentials

Make sure to bring along enough diapers, wipes, formula, and other necessary items for your baby. It's also a good idea to bring along a few extra outfits in case of spills or accidents. Use packing cubes or a suitcase with compartments to keep all of your baby's gear organised and easy to access.

5/6

Consider your baby's schedule

"Try to stick to your baby's normal sleep and feeding schedule as much as possible, especially during flights. Pack a few comfort items such as a favourite blanket or stuffed animal to help your baby sleep on the plane," says Dr. Wazir.

6/6

Don't forget the essentials

Make sure to bring along your baby's birth certificate, a copy of your insurance card, and any necessary medication. It's also a good idea to bring along a first aid kit with items like fever reducer, sunscreen, and insect repellent.

By following these tips, you can make your holiday travels with your baby a little less stressful and a lot more enjoyable. With a little planning and preparation, you can focus on making lasting memories with your little one.
