Boosting immunity: Orange and coriander drink to rev up your immunity

The sudden rains have changed the weather completely. With the winter season almost here, it's important that we take steps to keep ourselves warm and our immunity strong. We all have neglected our health for so long and the year 2020 has been a wake-up call for most of us. We have now understood that from our daily diet to exercise, everything should is important to prevent the risk of infections.

2/6

Building immunity

Immunity cannot be built in a day or two but requires constant efforts. A strong immunity can make us resistant against many diseases, especially the seasonal ones.

3/6

What can we do?

Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that can do wonders for our skin, hair and nails and plays a major role in keeping us immune from infections and diseases. Vitamin C helps in fighting the free radical activity that can lead to some dangerous diseases like cancer. The oxidative stress caused by free radical activity can also lead to weak immunity.

4/6

Vitamin C sources

There are many fruits, vegetables and roots that are rich in vitamin C. But oranges are touted to be one of the best sources of vitamin C. Do not commit the mistake of having market-made packeted orange juice as it's loaded with sugar, which can do more harm than good.

5/6

Simple combination to boost immunity

Orange and coriander juice can work wonders in boosting immunity. You can also add some carrots to enhance the taste and goodness of the juice. Carrots are a good source of vitamin C, beta carotene and vitamin B6, all of which is required for a healthy immune system. Coriander is loaded with a range of antioxidants.

6/6

Preparing the juice

You will need- 2 oranges, 2 coriander springs, 1 medium-sized carrot and 1 teaspoon lemon juice.

How to make: Peel the oranges, chop carrot and coriander. Put all this into a blender. Strain the juice and drink fresh. Do not add sugar.
