Recipes that you can make in a kettle

Electric kettle can be the ultimate saviour when you run out of cooking gas or if you are staying in a hostel room with limited resources. Kettle not just helps you with warm water but can also make quick meals that can satiate your hunger in no time. If you don’t know how to cook but still need an instant meal, then just use an electric kettle to make the below-given dishes. From Maggi and Oats to Masala Corn and Boiled Eggs, here are some simple recipes that you can make in an electric kettle.

2/6

Maggi

Maggi is the go-to recipe one opts for when those untimely cravings hit hard. Maggi can be made in a jiffy without putting much efforts. You do not need a gas stove to prepare this popular comfort food, as just a kettle will do the job. Just add 1 cup of water to a kettle and switch it on. Once the water comes to a boil, add broken noodles and Maggi tastemaker to it. Give a mix and again switch the kettle on, cook the noodles for 4-5 minutes, or until cooked. You can add some extra water if you want the noodles to be soupy.

3/6

Boiled Eggs

You can make a simple breakfast for yourself by just using a kettle. Boil some water in the kettle and add 2 eggs to it. Now switch on the kettle and let the water simmer for the next 8-10 minutes. Once boiled, remove the shells of the eggs, divide them in half, sprinkle salt, pepper and enjoy.

4/6

Oats

You can even cook a bowl of oatmeal for yourself in a kettle. Add 1 cup of water or milk to a kettle. You can either of the two, as people make oats using both the ingredients. Now add ½ cup oats and give a mix. Cook the oats for 6-8 minutes or until cooked completely. Once done, garnish the oatmeal with chopped fruits like apple, strawberry, banana etc and serve.

5/6

Soup

Whip up a hot bowl of soup for yourself without even lighting the flame of the stove. Use an instant soup packet to make a filling bowl of soup for yourself. Take a kettle, empty the content of the soup packet in it, add water and switch on the kettle. Mix well and cook for 4-5 minutes or until done. Enjoy!

6/6

Masala Corn

Masala Corn is a lip-smacking snack that you can make in less than 5 minutes. Just add corn kernels to a kettle along with some water. Boil the corn kernels for just 3-4 minutes and strain the excess water. Collect the corn kernels in a bowl. Sprinkle some spices as per your need, like salt, black pepper powder, chaat masala and red chilli powder. Lastly, squeeze some lemon juice and give a nice toss to coat all the kernels with the masala. Enjoy the delicious and nutritious snack.
