Planning to surprise your loved ones with a sumptuous cake on their birthday, but worried about arranging the ingredients? Then fret not as we have got your back with a wonderful birthday cake recipe, which can be made from scratch at home with some leftover biscuits. So, if you too want to bake a birthday cake at the comfort of home that too with some simple kitchen ingredients, then follow us through the step-by-step recipe and enjoy.

Step 1

To make this simple birthday cake using leftover biscuits, you need 300 grams of chocolate biscuits. Roughly break the biscuits with hand and grind into a fine powder. Make sure you take crunchy biscuits.

Next, take a large bowl and put a sieve on the top, extract the fine powder and add 1 teaspoon baking soda, ½ teaspoon baking powder and a dash of salt.

Add 1 ¼ cup milk and keep whisking the batter. To give the cake a spongy texture add in 2 tablespoons of melted butter and keep whisking. Add 1 handful of dry chopped dry fruits, ½ cup choco chips to the batter mix well till it turns smooth.

Take a baking tin and grease it with butter and dust some flour on it. Pour the batter and either bake it for 25-35 minutes in an oven at a temperature of 200 degree celsius or else you can take a large kadhai and fill it up with salt, place a metal rack to hold the tin. Cover with a foil and place it properly and close the lid, allowing it to bake for 30-45 minutes.

Take a baking tin and grease it with butter and dust some flour on it. Take out the baking tin carefully, turn it upside down and remove it from the container. Next, take a vessel full of water and place a glass bowl and add in 200 grams of chocolate bar, break the pieces and add it. Keep melting the chocolate by stirring it, add in 1 teaspoon of butter, whisk it well.

Place the cake over a rack and pour this chocolate ganache over the cake. Allow it to cool and pour the remaining half of it and refrigerate the cake for the thick dense cake experience. Decorate the cake as per your choice and enjoy.
