Eggless Chocolate Cake for Christmas

The vibrant festival of Christmas is around the corner and the aroma of freshly baked cake on this festival is something one can't resist. In case you are a vegetarian and new to the world of baking with no idea about oven and microwaves, then this simple Eggless Chocolate Cake made in a pressure cooker will surely tempt you to give it a try. Ingredients required



1 ½ cup refined flour, ¾ cup cocoa powder, ½ tsp baking soda, 1 tsp baking powder, ¾ cup vegetable oil, 1 ½ cup sugar, 1 cup curd, ½ tsp vanilla extract, ½ cup milk, 1 tsp vinegar

Step 1



Pre-heat the cooker on a low flame for 10 minutes. Make sure to remove the rubber and whistle from the lid. Also, line the baking tin with parchment paper.

Combine milk and vinegar in a small bowl and set it aside.

Now, sift in cocoa powder, flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder in another deep bowl.

Take another bowl and beat together oil and sugar until the mixture is pale and light. Next, add yogurt and vanilla extract, and mix well.

Now, add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and then add milk and vinegar mixture. Mix well using cut and fold technique.

Pour the batter into the baking tin and place a mini stand in the cooker and then bake the cake in the cooker for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Let the cake cool down and enjoy with coffee or with vanilla ice cream on top.
