We all love nuts, but we never pay any heed to how they are grown and how far these expensive nuts make life simpler for the farmers. Recently, nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar posted about the struggle of farmers who produce cashews (as it’s the cashew harvest season) and the benefits of this humble nut that we relish in the main course and desserts too. She wrote, “Farmers don’t have the budgets for front page ads or the skill to write fine print but the cashew fruit is in season, rich in Vit C & antioxidants.
