From dry to damage-free

The winter season might bring you a bright skin glow, but it also comes with numerous other issues, among which the biggest problems we deal with are dry and brittle hair. These are the times when deep-conditioning rituals are a must. However, you cannot achieve this solely with your manufactured conditioner; you need to try DIY homemade conditioning remedies, which can help you achieve soft and conditioned hair. These 5 natural DIY conditioners are perfect for all hair types. Let’s see how one can use them.

Banana

Banana is an incredible moisturising ingredient which is suitable for treating dry mane and frizziness. Brimming with vitamin B6, potassium, protein, and other nutrients, it deeply nourishes your scalp and hair. Simply mash an overripe banana and mix it with honey, egg, and some milk. Now, apply this paste uniformly on your scalp and hair, and leave it for 30 minutes. You can next wash it off with a mild shampoo.

Yoghurt

Filled with a good amount of protein and lactic acid, yoghurt is extremely beneficial for your locks. It cleanses the scalp and has smoothening and anti-inflammatory properties. Just mix raw yoghurt with banana, honey, and olive oil. Apply this to the scalp and let it rest for 30 minutes. Wash it off with a mild shampoo and look at the magic. However, in the wintertime, keep it for 15 minutes to avoid catching a cold.

Aloe vera is no less than a natural elixir, as it restores the pH balance and stimulates the process of hair growth. Just mix 4 tablespoons of aloe vera with some lemon juice in a single bowl. Apply this mixture to your hair and leave it for five to ten minutes. Wash it off with shampoo and conditioner. You will instantly notice the shine and change. Follow this process twice a week and enjoy soft and luscious locks.

Apple cider vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is a good source of acetic acid, which is wonderful for oily scalps, dandruff, and frizzy locks. It restores the scalp’s pH balance and also helps combat bacterial and fungal infections. Start with the application of shampoo and then add 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with water. Pour this all over your scalp and hair. Massage your scalp for 5 minutes and then rinse it off with shampoo and conditioner.

We all have grown up hearing the wonders of the coconut, which are genuinely true. It not only makes the locks soft and smooth, but it also boosts growth and nourishes the scalp.
