FIFA 2014: Footballers sport sexy stubbles

Footballers are taking their style credentials to new levels at the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2014.

While the hairstyles are as crazy as they can get, it's the stubble that's making a major fashion statement on the field this World Cup. From Neymar's barely-there stubble, to Claudio Marchisio's well-groomed beard, the hottest footballers on the field are sporting designer facial hair for that rugged and sexy look.

Neymar: Brazilian poster boy Neymar's red hot form on the field is perfectly complimented by his barely-there stubble. Though the 22-year-old forward has already changed his hairstyle post Brazil's first match, his stubble remains intact. Of course, the ladies are not complaining.

Claudio Marchisio: Italian midfielder Claudio Marchisio created headlines for that goal against England. But before anyone could even appreciate his soccer skills, it's those eyes and well-groomed beard that struck every female heart. Soccer stud!

Gerard Pique: The Spanish defender's athletic abilities make him one of the hottest players to watch out for. Add to it that sexy beard, and Shakira's better half is just irresistible. Shakira sure is one lucky lady!

Panagiotis Kone: Greek midfielder Panagiotis Kone's name features regularly on 'soccer's sexiest men' lists. Hailing from the land of Adonis, it's no surprise that Kone is often called a 'Greek God'. His newly acquired designer beard only makes him more appealing.

Diego Forlan: Uruguayan forward Diego Forlan couldn't help his team during the shock 3-1 defeat against un-fancied Costa Rica. But the prolific forward is looking to redeem himself. Now, no one can be hotter than an emotionally-fraught footballer with a sexy designer stubble, can there?

Karim Benzema: French star Karim Benzema ensured France's victory against Honduras. While football pundits sang praises of the French forward, others couldn't help notice how well he rocked his new bearded look.

FIFA 2014: Footballers sport sexy stubbles

Iker Casillas: Spanish captain Iker Casillas may have lost the pitch during Spain's 5-1 drubbing against Netherlands, but Casillas' killer look, enhanced by that stubble, only makes him a bigger winner for women. The 2010 world champions might not be making it to the finals this year, but for women, Iker's still drool-worthy.

Mauricio Pinilla: The Chileans have had a fairly good start to their World Cup campaign. And the ladies can't seem to get enough of striker Mauricio Pinilla's rugged good looks, thanks to that sexy designer beard.
