Facial hair removal masks you can try at home

Unwanted facial hair is something every woman deals with every month. Some simply shave it, some opt for threading, but the very small hair around the cheeks and chin can still feel frustrating to deal with. While some salon treatments can remove this unwanted facial hair, some natural home remedies reduce and slow down hair growth over time. Here are some natural face masks you can create at home that are absolutely safe and will definitely give you effective results.

Turmeric and milk

Take 2 teaspoons of turmeric powder and add a little milk with rose water. Blend this to create a thick paste. Now, apply it evenly to the areas with unwanted hair and allow it to dry. Now, gently rub the area and rinse it with water. Do this thrice a week and see the change. Turmeric slows down hair growth, keeps the area free from bacteria and gives you glowing skin.

Egg white mask

Start with 1 egg white, some sugar, and 1 tablespoon of cornflour or rice flour. Crack the egg and separate the white part. Add the sugar and cornflour and create a smooth paste. Apply this evenly on your face, avoiding your eyebrows and eyes. Allow it to dry, and once it sticks to your face, gently peel it off in an upward direction. This helps pull out fine facial hair and also tightens your skin. However, you need to tolerate the strong smell of the egg.

Sugar and lemon

The combination of sugar and lemon gently exfoliates the skin; lemon weakens the hair roots and further lightens the hair colour. You will need 2 tablespoons of sugar, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and a little bit of water. Mix all ingredients and leave them for 20 minutes. Rinse off with cold water and use this thrice a week for best results.

Honey and lemon

Honey sticks to fine facial hair and gently removes it when rinsed with water. Lemon acts as a natural bleaching agent and lightens the facial hair over time. This combination keeps your skin soft and glowing at all times. You just need 1 tablespoon of honey and ½ teaspoon of fresh lemon juice. Blend both and apply a thin layer to the area with facial hair. Leave it for 20 minutes, then soak a clean cloth in warm water to gently wipe off the mask.
