IPL 2015: Rajasthan Royals back to its winning ways

Rajasthan Royals are back in form as they won the match against Delhi Daredevils yesterday (May 3, 2015). It was apparently their 500th IPL match and Raj Kundra who had stakes in the team dedicated the victory to Lalit Modi. Shilpa Shetty's husband posted on micro-blogging site, Twitter, "I hereby dedicate this victory of @rajasthanroyals #IPL500 th game of @IPL to my dear friend and founder of IPL @LalitKModi ��." [sic]. The team of Rajasthan Royals is currently headed by Shane Watson.

Rajasthan Royals are back at the number one spot in the points table this year, with their last win adding considerably to their points. RR set a target of 189 runs for Delhi Daredevils. Ajinkya Rahane played an impressive innings with 91 runs off 54 balls. He is also the owner of the Orange cap with maximum number of runs this season. Karun Nair too added considerably to the scoreboard with 61 runs off 38 balls. Man of the match was won by Ajinkya Rahane.

However, when Delhi Daredevils came in to bat, the team was losing out on several wickets in crucial moments. The entire team got out, falling short of only 15 runs to victory. James Faulkner, Stuart Binny and Dhawal Kulkarni managed to pick up two wickets each and were very instrumental in restricting Delhi Daredevils to 175 runs in 20 overs. Commenting on DD's field performance, Shilpa's husband Raj Kundra posted, "Very sloppy fielding today Delhi!! And phewwwww thank you God #AlwaysARoyal #Hallabol @rajasthanroyals" [sic]
