“I asked a Pakistani about Dhurandhar”: Social media creator’s Dhurandhar review from Pakistani viewer goes viral
Films often travel far beyond the movie theater. A single scene, dialogue, or character can trigger reactions across countries, especially when audiences feel personally connected to the vibe or story.
Dhurandhar: The Revenge has been winning hearts of audiences as nearly all the shows are running housefull at the theatres, and several dialogues have become viral and relatable meme material on social media, and fans are going crazy over the movie, not only in India but also abroad.
Recently, a content creator asked a Pakistani viewer of the movie and it has gone viral online.
A social media video featuring a Pakistani man’s review of Dhurandhar has drawn attention online because it offers a blunt take on one of the film’s most talked-about themes.
Shared by digital creator Rohan Bhatia, the video begins with the text, “I asked a Pakistani about Dhurandhar.” In the clip, the man says he found the film a bit overrated. He also reacts to the viral idea that someone could control Lyari, Karachi, and then all of Pakistan, saying the storyline does not really match the way power works in the country.
He adds, “For some context, my family was originally from Lyari. There was and is some gang violence there. But, it’s just like you know between two neighbourhood gangs.” His comment suggests that while Lyari has had real violence, he sees the film’s portrayal as more dramatic than everyday reality.
A woman beside him also questions some of the film’s wider dramatic choices, including the idea of a minister’s daughter walking through Lyari at night in Western clothes and the character of Yalina Jamali leaving a luxurious life to live with Hamza Ali Mazari.

Dhurandhar has reportedly crossed major box-office milestones. On Tuesday, the film crossed its ₹900 crore mark worldwide in its box office collection.

The couple enjoyed the direction of the movie
Even so, the pair does not dismiss the film completely. They reportedly said they liked the cinematography and enjoyed the music, which gave the review a balanced tone instead of a purely negative one.Social media response
Reactions in the comments section were equally lively. One user wrote, “He is bang on correct, and these gangs were just limited to Lyari. MQM had far more control over the whole city, and people who are from Karachi will agree that MQM had done some scary stuff back in their days.”Another user said, “I support bro.” A third commented, “This is interesting.” A fourth wrote, “Wow”.
