Why did these IIT-ians choose a life of spirituality?

Many IIT graduates who have turned to a life of spirituality and monkhood often cite a profound sense of unfulfillment despite their academic and professional achievements. They seek deeper meaning and purpose beyond material success. The rigorous and competitive environment of IITs often leads to introspection and a quest for inner peace. For some, this journey is driven by personal experiences or philosophical inquiries that lead them to explore spiritual paths. The transition to monkhood allows them to focus on self-realization, meditation, and contributing to society through spiritual teachings, ultimately finding a sense of contentment and purpose that eluded them in their previous lives.
