Countries located on the equator

The equator is a line circling the Earth, and it is 24,901 miles long. It goes through 13 countries but only two of them have land directly on them. The rest have their parts situated in different countries, mostly oceans and seas. Of the 13 countries that lie on the equator, there are seven in Africa, the most of any continent and then there is South America, which is home to three of the nations. The remaining countries are island nations in the Indian and Pacific oceans. The countries through which the equator runs are:

This island nation is located in the Gulf of Guinea off the western coast of Central Africa.

Gabon is situated on the west coast of Central Africa, bordered by Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon, and the Atlantic Ocean.

Also known as Congo-Brazzaville, this country lies in Central Africa, bordered by Gabon, Cameroon, the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and the Atlantic Ocean.

Democratic Republic of the Congo

This country is located in Central Africa and is the second-largest country in Africa by land area. It is bordered by nine countries and has a coastline along the Atlantic Ocean.

Located in East Africa, Uganda is bordered by South Sudan to the north, Kenya to the east, Tanzania and Rwanda to the south, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the west.

Kenya is situated on the eastern coast of Africa, bordered by Ethiopia to the north, Somalia to the east, Tanzania to the south, Uganda to the west, and the Indian Ocean to the southeast.

Somalia is located in the Horn of Africa, bordered by Ethiopia to the west, Djibouti to the northwest, the Gulf of Aden to the north, and the Indian Ocean to the east.
