Chitram

After gaining a reasonable amount of experience, Teja made his directorial debut with the sensational hit Chitram, starring Uday Kiran and Reema Sen. The new age romantic entertainer was produced by Ramoji Rao under the banner of Ushakiran Movies. The Teja- directorial had wooed the audience and registered a terrific response at the box office. This film is definitely one of the finest works by Teja. Chitram was the one film that actually redefined romance in Tollywood.

Nuvvu Nenu

It’s been more than 20 years since this film released and it is still fresh as ever. One of the best coming-of-age movies you can find in Tollywood, Nuvvu Nenu captures this young and restless generation, their friendships, their emotions perfectly well. With Uday Kiran and Anita Hassanandani romancing each other and Sunil and his friends tickling your funny bone, it goes without saying that this one is every Tollywood fan’s all-time favourite film. It became not only a commercial success but also received five Nandi Awards and four Filmfare Awards-South.

Jayam

The movie marked the debut of Nithiin and Sadaa who essayed Venkataramana and Sujatha. The quirky humour and out of the box story made it a hit among the masses. Directed by Teja, the film hit the right chord in the hearts of the audience that appreciated the rawness, proving to be a critical and commercial success. It has achieved cult status among youth. It had a fresh pairing, good music, and an entertaining storyline – everything that makes for a successful film.

Nijam

The Teja directorial deserves all the applause for talking about the corruption of successive government that the society has built. It has stellar performances from Mahesh Babu, Rakshita, Gopichand, Raasi and Rameshwari. The movie not only received rave reviews from critics, but also won two Nandi Awards and two Filmfare Awards. However, the audience's reception was underwhelming. The standout acting from its cast, the contemporary story, and the emotionally overwrought script makes Nijam an important movie to watch.

Nene Raju Nene Mantri

Starring Rana Daggubati and Kajal Aggarwal, Nene Raju Nene Mantri is one well-executed political action thriller. Directed by Teja, the way the story of the film unfolds is quite interesting. The movie which also has Catherine Tresa will keep you at the edge of your seat. Apart from its sharp filmmaking and direction, Nene Raju Nene Mantri is regarded as one of the finest ensembles in terms of acting, background score and cinematography.
