‘Maa Itni Bangaaram’: Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s upcoming movie likely pushed to June release amid IPL season buzz - Report

Samantha Ruth Prabhu is busy with her upcoming outing, ‘Maa Itni Bangaaram’, which is an action thriller directed by Nandini Reddy. Although the film was announced for a summer release on May 15, it is now said that the movie will be delayed and will come to theatres in June.Now, as per the latest reports, the makers of ‘Maa Inti Bangaaram’ are planning to release the film on June 19, 2026, as per Aakashavaani.

Reason for the delay

The team had already started promotions for the film before the release change reports came out. According to reports, the makers decided to move the release because of the ongoing IPL 2026 season.

The team reportedly felt that the cricket season could affect theatre collections and audience turnout. Earlier, there were talks that the movie might release on June 4 after Yash’s ‘Toxic’ moved away from that date. But later, Ram Charan’s ‘Peddi’ reportedly locked the June 4 release slot, making the team choose June 19 instead. However, it is imperative to mention that the makers have not yet given an official confirmation about the new date.

About ‘Maa Inti Bangaaram’

‘Maa Inti Bangaaram’ marks the second collaboration between Samantha and Nandini Reddy, after their hit film ‘Oh! Baby’.
The film is set to be a comedy action family drama where Samantha will be seen as a housewife as well as a strong fighter.The film also stars Diganth and Gulshan Devaiah and includes Sree Mukhi, Gautami, Anand, Lakshmi, Srinivas Gavireddy, and Manjusha.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu was last seen in a cameo role in the horror comedy film ‘Subham’. The movie was the first production venture from her banner.Looking ahead, the actress will also be seen in the web series ‘Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom’. The show stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Ali Fazal and Wamiqa Gabbi in key roles.
