Sangeeth Sobhan's 'Raakaasa' is outpacing Sharwanand's 'Biker' at the global box office. On Day 5, 'Raakaasa' garnered ₹15.03 crore worldwide gross, slightly ahead of 'Biker's' ₹13.19 crore. While 'Biker' offers high-speed racing drama, 'Raakaasa' entertains with a fun fantasy comic thriller, drawing praise for its unique story and performances.
'Biker' and 'Raakaasa' hit theatres on April 3, and the clash of the two Telugu films made the box office interesting. 'Biker' is an action racing-based movie starring Sharwanand, while 'Raakaasa' is a fantasy comic thriller led by Sangeeth Sobhan. Both films offered very different stories to audiences. While one focuses on high-speed racing and emotions, the other mixes comedy with supernatural elements. Despite belonging to different genres, the films targeted a similar audience and are now competing at the box office.

'Raakaasa' stays slightly ahead in Day 5 collections

According to Sacnilk, On Day 5 (first Tuesday), Biker collected a net of Rs 0.94 crore across 1,689 shows. This was slightly lower than its Day 4 (Monday) collection of Rs 1.11 crore. With the latest numbers, the film’s total India gross collection has reached Rs 10.99 crore, while the India net stands at Rs 9.46 crore so far. Overseas markets have contributed Rs 2.20 crore, taking the film’s worldwide gross collection to Rs 13.19 crore.Meanwhile, 'Raakaasa' continued to stay slightly ahead in the race. The film collected Rs 1.06 crore net across 1,466 shows on Day 5, after earning Rs 1.12 crore on Day 4.
With this, the film’s India gross collection has reached Rs 11.73 crore, while the India net stands at Rs 10.18 crore. Overseas earnings of Rs 3.30 crore have pushed its total worldwide gross collection to Rs 15.03 crore.

'Raakaasa' wins praise for its fun fantasy story and performances

‘Raakaasa’ gained decent reviews with its content of complete entertainment comedy, taking the audience through fantasy and suspense. The film is a story about the pizzazz NRI Eera Babu (Veeru) played by Sangeeth Sobhan, who came to India from the USA to marry his childhood love but encountered an unexplainable incident in the form of a cursed castle. Nayan Sarika, Tanikella Bharani, Brahmaji, and Ashish Vidyarthi played important roles in the movie.

'Biker' brings high-speed racing drama with Sharwanand in the lead

On the contrary, ‘Biker’ is a film that takes the typical audience through an exciting and adventurous world of Bike Racing events. The film focuses on bike racers who, in addition to intense competition, face many internal and external personal challenges. The film is directed by Abhilash Reddy and blends action, romance, and family elements with the sports genre. Apart from Sharwanand, the film has Rajasekhar, Malavika Nair, Brahmaji, and Atul Kulkarni on board. The film is famous for its bike racing and bike chase sequences.
