‘Tere Ishq Mein’ star Dhanush relives 'Raanjhanaa'days: 'Kundan is still alive in me, when someone calls out, I smile back'

Among the characters that have deeply imprinted Dhanush's life, Kundan, whom he played in 'Raanjhanaa', ranks first. Dhanush had recently shared on Instagram that the character continues to haunt him even today.

“A street walk from my past… Kundan is still alive in me. When someone calls out ‘Kundan’ on the narrow streets of Banaras, I still smile back,” he wrote. The photos he took in Banaras and the experiences he had on those streets in that post took fans back to the 'Raanjhanaa' era.

In the same post, Dhanush also shared his feelings on meeting director Anand L. Rai, the man who created Kundan, again. It feels like a full circle, sitting in front of the same tea stall, walking along the banks of the same Ganga," he said, adding, "Now Shankar... 'Tere Ishq Mein' starts tomorrow." The duo, who are reuniting with A.R. Rahman, are teaming up to produce this new film, which is a spiritual sequel to ‘Raanjhanaa’. The addition of Kriti Sanon as the female lead has also added a new dimension to the film.
