'Ko' to 'Maanadu': Five Tamil films based on political backdrop

Tamil cinema audiences have witnessed many kinds of genres in the history of cinema. There are a few genres, which are rarely touched by filmmakers in Tamil cinema, and one among them is films based on political subjects. The problems and issues that a political film creates in society made filmmakers aside from it. But few have touched the genre with courage and succeeded with it. Have a look at the five Tamil films from 'Ko' to 'Maanadu' that are based on political backdrop.

Vijay Kumar has presented the film with strong dialogues, and it turned out as one of the best political thrillers in Tamil cinema. 'Uriyadi' features Vijay Kumar, Mime Gopi, Citizen Sivakumar, and others, while the music was scored by an Indian musical band Masala Coffee. 'Uriyadi' also had a sequel and the director explained a different issue with it.
