'Kanguva'
Suriya starrer 'Kanguva' has been in production for more than a year, and the film shooting has been wrapped up successfully. But it's the film's VFX that delayed the film's process, and the makers are yet to announce their release plan. Siruthai Siva's directorial is anticipated to be released for 2024 Diwali, and the periodic drama is set to have a record-breaking opening.

'Thangalaan'
Chiyaan Vikram joined hands with director Pa Ranjith for 'Thangalaan' and the expectations are high for the film ever since the fresh duo's union. 'Thangalaan' is reported to be a periodic drama that is set between the 1870s and 1940s, and the film will address the evolution of KGF. Chiyaan Vikram is sporting a versatile look, and the film also has Malavika Mohan, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Pasupathu, and Daniel Caltrogine among others. 'Thangalaan' release date might be announced any time, and the makers aim for a grand solo release.

'Viduthalai 2'
Vetri Maaran's directorial 'Viduthalai 2' is a sequel to the 2023 superhit 'Viduthalai 1', and the highly anticipated sequel is set to unfold the mysteries from part 1. Vetri Maaran altering the sequel's subject has delayed the film's completion, and the film shooting is yet to be wrapped up. 'Vidaamuyarchi'
Ajith's film with Magizh Thirumeni has been titled 'Vidaamuyarchi' and the film was officially launched in May 2023. But the film shooting has passed only the half stage, and the team needs to complete a major work for the film. However, Magizh Thirumeni has planned to complete filming the remaining portions in one go, and the release date for the film might be locked after the shoot completion.

'Amaran'
Sivakarthikeyan joined forces with director Rajkumar Periyasamy for 'Amaran', the film is a biopic of the late Major Mukund Varadharajan, who lost his life in a military operation. The shooting of the film has been completed, and the post-production work is progressing steadily. Since it's a patriotic film, the makers planned the film to be released in August during the Independence Day weekend. But the arrival of some other biggies made the makers hold their plan, and the puzzle on the Amaran release date continues.
