Manmadhan is a story of Mythili who meets Madhan and she's attracted towards and terrified of him because he looks exactly like the serial killer from her nightmares. This romantic thriller was directed and written by A. J. Murugan with dialogues by Balakumaran kept the audience on the edge of their seats. The Simbu-starrer ran successfully, inspired its Kannada remake and was dubbed in Telugu.

Directed by Krish, Vaanam tells the story of five individuals living in different places and how their lives converge at a point, resulting in the transformation of their personas and purpose. The Krish directorial not only won the hearts of the audience it also garnered tremendous critical acclaim.
