Prakash Raj had played the role of a ruthless factionalist leader Muthupandi in the 2004 film 'Ghilli', and he fought against actor Vijay in the film. Prakash Raj's role in the film is one of his most unforgettable performances and the dialogues 'Dhanalakshmi en Saami de' and 'Chellam' have got popular among fans. The action-thriller 'Ghilli' stars Vijay and Trisha in lead roles, while Prakash Raj played the role of a villain.

​'Vasool Raja MBBS' - 2004

In 'Vasool Raja MBBS', Prakash Raj had played the role of the female lead Sneha's father, who is also a dean of a Medical College. Kamal Haasan had played the lead role in the Tamil remake of the Hindi film 'Munnabhai MBBS'. Scenes of Prakash Raj battling with Kamal Haasan in the film make for a great watch, and both the stars gave outstanding performances. 'Vasool Raja MBBS' was a comedy-drama directed by Saran, while the dialogues of the film were written by Crazy Mohan.

Prakash Raj played the role of Prabhakar, an investigating police officer in the film.
