Kollywood’s heartthrob Atharvaa turned a year older today. Son of late actor Murali, Atharvaa marked his acting debut in 2010 with 'Baana Kaathadi'. Atharvaa has already proved his talent with his impressive performances in film like ‘100’ and 'Paradesi'. As he turns 31 today, colleagues and fans of the actor have been pouring wishes on social media. Here’s taking a look at FIVE lesser known facts about the popular Kollywood star.

​An accidental actor

Atharvaa had plans to become a pilot during his school days. After he completed his education, his father wanted to know what he wanted to become in life. Then after doing a few films, Atharvaa got involved in acting and decided to dedicate himself to the industry with his promising performances.

​Not always a fitness enthusiast

As a kid Atharvaa was reportedly not into fitness and his father Murali would wake him up at 6 am to exercise. Later, he started to work out vigorously and sported six-pack abs for his film 'Irumbu Kuthirai'. He went on to play the role of an athlete in his next film 'Eeti' and stunned everyone with his fitness.

​Classes with stunt choreographers

After Atharvaa decided to enter acting, he took various steps to prepare himself for the industry. One of which were his intense classes with stunt choreographers, he has trained in stunt classes to prepare himself physically for his films. And his film stunts give a testimony of his stylish and powerful acts.

​Inspired by Suriya's six-pack

Atharva has great respect for other actors in the industry and it in evident in his social posts. Apparently, Atharvaa was inspired by Suriya's six-pack abs, and he was keen to achieve the same during his school days. Later begin to indulge gym heavy work outs and would use a picture of Suriya's six-pack abs to motivate himself.

Debut with dad

Atharvaa began his career with his father’s presence as Murali played a cameo in Atharvaa's debut film 'Baana Kaathadi'. Unfortunately, Murali passed away due to cardiac arrest just a month after the film’s release. Atharvaa continued with his passion for films and has successful established himself as a lead actor.
