Director Ravikumar didn't take a salary for 'Ayalaan'
'Ayalaan', the long-awaited science fiction drama is scheduled to release for Pongal 2024, and the team is on a promotional spree. Sivakarthikeyan, who plays the lead role, earlier revealed that he didn't take any salary for 'Ayalaan' as releasing the science fiction drama is only his desire. Similarly, director Ravikumar too didn’t take any remuneration for his work on the film.
In a recent interview, Ravikumar stated that he didn't take any salary for 'Ayalaan' till now as has decided to support the makers considering the financial situation. Sivakarthikeyan has helped the director financially in the last few years. However, Ravikumar will be receiving his salary for sure as the makers decided to pay the director according to the film's collection.

Directed by Ravikumar, 'Ayalaan' features Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role, and the film took a time of over 3 years for the film's post-production with more than 4500 VFX frames, which is the highest ever for a Tamil. Rakul Preet Singh, Isha Koppikar, Yogi Babu, Karunakaran, Bala Saravanan, and Banu Priya play important roles, and the film will have music scored by AR Rahman.
