‘Qismat 2’
The Ammy Virk and Sargun Mehta starrer ‘Qismat 2’ turned heads this week as the movie made it to the theatres. Right after the release, the movie started smashing box office records. According to the reports of Box Office India, the movie’s first-day collection was 1,24,00,000, on Friday it made 1,30,00,000 and on Saturday it collected 1,75,00,000. The Jagdeep Sidhu directorial has set a new high for Punjabi movies with these numbers.

‘Honsla Rakh’
The first look poster of Diljit Dosanjh, Shehnaaz Gill, Sonam Bajwa, and Shinda Grewal’s much-awaited films ‘Honsla Rakh’ was released this week. Featuring the three stars - Diljit, Shehnaaz, and Sonam, the poster has is packed with cuteness. Further, the trailer of the film will be released on Monday at 1 pm.

‘Moh’
Jagdeep Sidhu’s directorial ‘Moh’ also made headlines this week. Featuring Gitaz Bindrakhiya, the son of famous Punjabi singer Surjit Bindrakhiya, the movie will be released on September 23, 2022. Basically, ‘Moh’ will be released exactly one year after the release of ‘Qismat 2’. Though we don’t know much about this film, Jagdeep while sharing the release date of the movie mentioned that it will be an unusual love story.

‘Gal Wakdi’
After the wait of years, Tarsem Jassar and Wamiqa Gabbi’s movie ‘Gal Wakdi’ will be released by the end of 2021. Yes, ‘Galwakdi’ will be making it to the big screens on new years eve, i.e., on December 31, 2021. Directed by Sharan Art, the movie also stars Raghveer Boli in a pivotal role.

‘Main Te Bapu’
Parmish Verma’s ‘Main Te Bapu’ is another Punjabi movie that made headlines this week. Starring the ‘Ja Ve Ja’ singer, this movie will be making it to the silver screen on 14 January 2022. The movie is special as it features a father and son bond, featuring Parmish Verma and his father Dr. Satish Verma. Also, ‘Ashke’ fame star Sanjeeda Shaikh is playing the female lead in the film.
