Exclusive! On Father’s Day Punjabi celebs open about one quality they have inherited from their dads

As Father’s Day was just around the corner, we got in touch with a number of Punjabi celebrities and asked them about one trait that they think they have inherited from their dads. Speaking to us, a lot of them opened their hearts and spoke about what makes them and their fathers' alike. Today on Father’s Day, we bring to you exclusive words of the Punjabi stars spilling beans on that one quality that they have taken from their dads.

2/6

Kavita Kaushik

Kavita Kaushik is one of the contemporary Pollywood actresses who has left a mark with each of her movies. When we reached out to her asking about one quality she feels she has inherited from her father, the actress gave us two. She said, “I think I’ve inherited two strong qualities, one is taking people on face value, which I believe is not a very feasible trait in today’s times and the other is fearlessness, which is always good. However, I’m proud of it all and won’t change despite them working in my favour or not.”

3/6

Karamjit Anmol

When we say Karamjit Anmol, people can’t help but start laughing on the number of gags he has done in his more than a decade long career. However, when it came down to recall the quality of his father that he feels he has got from him, the actor gave some serious worthy words. “There are a number of things that my father taught me, but the one that I truly believe I have got from him is respect for women. When we were young school going kids, our father always used to say to us, ‘I don’t care if you indulge in a fight, just make sure to never ever disrespect a girl.’ This is something that I still hold on to.”

Monica Gill

From Pollywood period dramas to Bollywood war films and more, Monica Gill has proved her mettle in the industry by doing a variety of roles. It seems that the actress gets this trait of facing the challenge of versatility from her dad. As while talk to us, she quoted, “My father has always been one to face challenges head-on. I’ve always admired that quality in him and I am proud to acknowledge that it’s a trait I have inherited. Observing his spirit and winning attitude I was able to face my dreams head on. Thank you, daddy, for leading with such an impeccable example!”

5/6

Isha Rikhi

Isha Rikhi has a very lively vibe to her persona which is often presented on the screen as well. According to the actress, the quality of enjoying the present as a present is something she learned from her father. “I was very young, hardly 8 years old when I lost him, but I guess there’s one thing I have got from my father. He was the kind of person who believed in living in the moment. He used to say that live today, as you don’t know what’s gonna happen tomorrow. My father never thought of money when it came to enjoying the very moment. This I think I have got from him. I also believe in living the very moment and not over thinking about what the future might bring”, said Isha.

Rajvir Jawanda

Punjabi singer turn actor Rajvir Jawanda is highly lauded for his sense of fashion and style of turban. While talking to ETimes, the artist said that he got this sense of style from his father. “The way I dress up, the way I tie my turban is completely inspired by my father. Initially, I didn’t sport a turban, but when I ventured into the field of music, I started tying one. So I guess this is one quality I have inherited from him”, concluded Rajvir.
