5 reasons why Jitendra is the perfect villain

Looks
Be it the clean shaven and long locks sporting Sai or a bearded, gun-totting Samrat Kolte-Patil or the bald and moustached Martand of ‘Baji’, Jitendra has experimented a lot with his looks and looked perfect every time. It would be interesting to see how he carries off Martand’s role opposite Shreyas Talpade.

Humour
With the upcoming ‘Baji’ Jitendra will again essay a character with grey shades. However, it would be interesting to see if he adds a touch of humour to this one as well. Though his negative characters have been menacing, they also have had a comic twist to them. And somehow, Jitendra manages to fuse menace and humour with effortless ease.

Body Language
We had seen him in comic roles primarily before ‘Duniyadari’. True he had great command over the body language of his comic characters too, but the villainous turn also got the best out of him. Menacing would be an understatement to describe his roles.

Acting Prowess
There have been many cringe-worthy Marathi villains in the past but one thing that separates Jitendra Joshi from the rest is his ability to pull off a negative character using his acting prowess. He was convincing in ‘Duniyadari’ and repeated the performance in ‘Premasathi Coming Soon’ recently.

Experimentation
As mentioned, Jitendra has experimented with his looks but that’s not all. Jitendra has also experimented a lot with his choice of roles. When many of his contemporaries are being typecast in similar roles, Jitendra has done everything from comedy to villainous roles.
