Ravindra -Gashmeer Mahajani: Flashback moments that highlight their beautiful father-son bond

A wave of grief has swept across the Marathi film industry after the news of actor Ravindra Mahajani’s death surfaced online. Ravindra Mahajani is survived by his wife Madhu, son Gashmeer, daughter-in-law and grandson.

Following in his father’s footsteps, Gashmeer has a special place in the minds of the audience and in the Marathi film industry with his acting. The father-and-son duo has also appeared in some films together.

Here's a flashback picture that Gashmeer shared on the occasion of his father Ravindra Mahajani’s birthday. Both father and son seem to be bonding well forever. Sharing the picture, Gashmeer wrote, "Sharing a very fond memory with my father! Whish you a very happy birthday Dad!"

After having some success in films, Ravindra Mahajani started a business of his own but was reportedly subjected to fraud which not only made him lose money but resulted in a huge debt. It was reportedly Gashmeer, who was in school at that time, who then came forward to rescue the family out of debt.

Gashmeer is a doting son since childhood. In an interview, Gashmeer revealed that his late father Ravindra Mahajani was a perfectionist and called him a 'handsome' superstar. He shared that his father Ravindra wanted to be a film hero, so he used to drive a taxi at night to earn a living, and during the day, he used to make rounds of producers’ offices. He was married and had a daughter too. The 'Bonus' star went on to say that he struggles to keep himself relevant. Ten years down the line, he would want to be the best version of himself.

Gashmeer and Ravindra worked together was the 2019 Bollywood film 'Panipat' directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. While Ravindra Mahajani played the role of Malhar Rao Holkar, Gashmeer was seen playing the character of Jankoji Shinde in the film.
