National Award-winning filmmaker Sameer Vidwans has turned a year-old today. He made his directorial debut with the 2013 movie, 'Time Please'. The prolific director is well-known in the Marathi industry for his blockbuster films like 'Double Seat', 'Anandi Gopal' and ' Dhurala'.

Sameer Vidwans made his directorial debut with 'Time Please'. It revolves around a newly married couple (played by Umesh Kamat and Priya Bapat) learning to deal with the sweet and sour moments of life.

It also stars Sai Tamhankar, Siddharth Jadhav, Vandana Gupte and Seema Deshmukh in pivotal roles.

Sameer Vidwans multi-starrer 'YZ' is a coming-of-age comedy but for a 33-year-old (played by Sagar Deshmukh) who is trapped between the identity of a boy and a man. The audience loved the characters played by Sai Tamhankar and Sagar Deshmukh. It also starred Parna Pethe and Akshay Tanksale in key roles.

Mukta Barve and Ankush Chaudhari starrer 'Double Seat' is a story of newlywed lovebirds (Amit and Manjiri) struggling to find their private space in the overwhelming city of Mumbai. The film reportedly grossed around ₹20 crores in its full run at the box office.

Sameer Vidwans' blockbuster film 'Anandi Gopal' was a biopic based on the life of Anandi Gopal Joshi (played by Bhagyashree Milind), who is known as the first Indian woman doctor. This film bagged two National Awards in two categories - best feature film on social issues and best production design.

It also starred Lalit Prabhakar, Geetanjali Kulkarni and Yogesh Soman in pivotal roles.
