Theatre and film actor Kainakary Thankaraj passed away on April 3, at the age of 77. The actor was reportedly under treatment for liver-related issues for a long time. Thankaraj, who made his acting debut with the Prem Nazir starrer film ‘Aana Paachan’ in 1978, rose to fame for his appearance in the 2018 Lijo Jose Pelliserry film ‘Ee. Ma. Yau’. His performance in recent movies like ‘Lucifer’, and ‘Home’ too grabbed eyeballs. He was laid to rest on April 4, in his hometown.

After taking a much-needed time off from work, Prithviraj Sukumaran has finally resumed filming for his ambitious project ‘Aadujeevitham’, which is based on the eponymous novel by Benyamin. The actor along with ‘Aadujeevitham’ director Blessy and the crew is currently filming in the Sahara desert, for the final portions of the film.

Actor-screenwriter-filmmaker Sreenivasan was admitted to a private hospital in Angamaly on March 30, where he underwent bypass surgery and is now recuperating. As per the latest reports, Sreenivasan has been shifted from ventilator support to the intensive care unit, where he is under observation.

The most-awaited glimpse of Mammootty starrer ‘CBI 5: The Brain’, which is the fifth installment of the iconic CBI franchise came out this week. The teaser featured Mammootty reprising Sethurama Iyer, the CBI officer, who is investigating a sensitive case, that apparently has something in common with the deaths of politicians Sanjay Gandhi, Indira Gandhi, and Rajiv Gandhi.
