‘Romancham’: Reason why the film is a unique horror thriller in Mollywood

The Mollywood film industry never fails to deliver the so-called ‘Surprise hit’ movies and the recently released horror thriller film ‘Romancham’ is indeed one of the best examples of it. As the film is currently running in housefull shows, here are the reasons why the Soubin Shahir starrer is a unique horror thriller in Mollywood.

‘Romancham’ has a very raw and realistic style of execution and that’s the main reason why the movie worked well in delivering a good laugh and spine-chilling horror. Kudos to the director Jithu Madhavan for trying something different in the Mollywood film industry.

‘Romancham’ is stacked with newbie actors apart from Soubin Shahir, Arjun Ashokan, Chemban Vinod Jose, and a few others. The majority of the cast in the movie delivered a stunning performance and all of their characters have a perfectly built structure to them. Also, the characters in ‘Romancham’ are clearly relatable to the majority of the youngsters.

Most true-event-based horror stories follow a pattern and what makes ‘Romancham’ different from them is mainly due to its plot and execution. The plot revolves around seven bachelors in Bangalore who decided to try the Ouija board to summon a spirit. The movie starts on a humorous note and slowly builds up its tension and ends in a very brilliant manner.

‘Romancham’ has actually passed at delivering a very unconventional ending that makes the viewers ask for more. Even with all the flavors of a terrifying ending, the climax also makes you laugh a bit at the mishap the main character played by Soubin Shahir has stepped into. Overall Jithu Madhavan has indeed crafted a very brilliant climax with his directorial debut ‘Romancham’.
