Joshiy and Joju George reunite for new action thriller; Anoop Menon joins project as writer for first time

Joshiy and Joju George are set to collaborate once again for a new Malayalam film after previously working together on 'Porinju Mariam Jose' and 'Antony'.The upcoming project is said to be a family-oriented action thriller. The film will feature Joju George in the lead role and is expected to go on floors in August this year. The makers are reportedly preparing for an official announcement soon.Anoop Menon comes on board as writerAnoop Menon is writing the story, screenplay, and dialogues for the upcoming film. The movie also marks the first-ever collaboration between Joshiy and Anoop Menon as reported by Asianet News.The makers are reportedly planning the film as a commercial entertainer with strong emotional and action elements blended into the narrative.The production will be handled by Joju George’s own banner, Appu Pathu Pappu Production House..Joju George busy with multiple projectsMeanwhile, Joju George is currently occupied with several projects. His next directorial 'Paripadi' which is progressing in Thrissur. In the film, Joju plays a character named Deluxe Benny, and it also features more than 100 newcomers in important roles alongside the actor.'Varavu' gets new release dateAt the same time, the makers of 'Varavu', directed by Shaji Kailas and starring Joju George, have officially announced a revised theatrical release date.The action thriller is now scheduled to hit theatres on June 12. Earlier, the film had been planned for release on May 1, but the date was postponed without confirmation of a new schedule at that time.The screenplay of Varavu was written by A. K. Sajan, who has previously collaborated with Shaji Kailas on films including 'Chinthamani Kolacase', 'Red Chillies', and 'Dhrona 2010'. He had also earlier penned Joju George’s 'Pulimada'.Set against the backdrop of the high ranges, Varavu revolves around Polachan, also known as Poly, a wealthy planter portrayed by Joju George. On the technical side, the film features cinematography by S Saravanan, editing by Shameer Muhammed, and music composed by Sam C.
