Actor and director JP Thuminad known for the 2025 Kannada movie ‘Su From So’ married to his longtime partner Rashmika in a traditional wedding ceremony held in Mangaluru on Tuesday. The wedding was attended by close family members, friends and a few people from the Kannada film industry.

Fans and industry peers congratulated the couple. Before the wedding, the family also celebrated haldi and mehendi functions as per India Today. The couple looked happy in all the ceremonies, and fans enjoyed seeing the simple and joyful moments from the celebrations.A post shared by the filmmaker on his social media handle captures the couple from their wedding. In the caption, he wrote, “JP (hear emoji) Rashmika.” The comments were filled with wishes.JP and Rashmika have known each other for more than fourteen years. Their journey started during their theatre days when they worked together and became close friends. Slowly, the friendship turned into love over the years.JP Thuminad appeared in films like ‘Ondu Motteya Kathe’ and ‘Sapta Sagaradaache Ello – Side B’. But it was ‘Su From So’ that gave him bigger recognition among audiences.

About ‘Su From So’

With respect to his film, JP Thuminad made his directorial debut with ‘Su From So’. He also wrote and directed the comedy-horror film. The movie was released on July 25, 2025, in India and later in other countries.The story follows Ravi, a young boy whose innocent crush leads to strange incidents in the village. Soon, villagers believe a ghost called “Su from So” has arrived, creating funny and spooky situations. The film starred Shaneel Gautham, Raj B Shetty, Sandhya Arakere, Prakash K Thuminadu, Deepak Rai Panaje and Mime Ramdas.It is currently streaming on OTT.
