Ane Pataki

Director Chandrasekar Bandiyappa should know that directing a comedy requires special skills. As the movie progresses, the enthusiasm of the viewer slowly peters out. The director is entirely to blame for poor handling of sequences.

The story unfolds in the house of film producer Jagadish (Jai Jagadish) and his wife Vijayalakshmi (Vijayalakshmi Singh), a couple getting ready to celebrate their wedding anniversary. The inmates include head cook Govindanna (Rangayana Raghu), who’s always busy answering calls of people who have lent him money. There’s also Chinnadappa (Sadhu Kokila), who joins Govindanna as assistant cook. But he always embarrasses Govindanna with his silly manner of serving food and drinks. Often, he himself gulps down hot drinks meant for guests.

Besagarahalli Bhyregowda (Srujan Lokesh) from Mandya, who plays the hero in Jagadish’s movie, cuts a sorry figure because of his silly acts at the function. Most of the time, he is seen searching for the toilet to answer nature’s call. There’s another character, Adi (Bhaskar), who is accompanied by his girlfriend Rakshitha (Parvathi Nirbhang) to the function. At the ceremony, Adi starts flirting with other girls. The result — Bhyregowda and Rakshitha fall in love with each other. There are many such comecial sequences which sometimes take a serious turn, but end humorously. Very rarely do they bring a smile on your face. Rangayana Raghu and Sadhu Kokila tracks are exceptions.

Srujan Lokesh has tried his best, but could have done better. Parvathi Nirbhang hardly has anything to do. However, you can look forward to some catchy tunes by Dharma Vish. Sangeetha Rajeev makes a commendable debut as a singer by rendering the pleasant number ‘Entane Tharagathi…’ Wali’s camera work is average.
