Actor Srujan Lokesh, who also has a daily radio show, recently had a marathon session on the airwaves for a campaign exhorting people to save water. With Bangalore facing severe water shortage, the pre-monsoon showers in the past few days were the perfect foil for the actor, who asked his listeners to keep buckets out in the open and collect harvest rain water.
Called Bucket hidiri neer save madi…, the campaign also got support from Kannada stars Srinagara Kitty, Priyanka Upendra and Sanjjanaa, among others. It remains to be seen though, how effective the campaign will be in the city.
Meanwhile, Srujan, whose last release
Ane Pataki, failed to make an impression at the box office, is still busy with his production house that produces his TV show
Kassge Toss. The actor recently told us that a second season for the show was on the cards, while plans are also afoot to produce Kannada movies.
